AceShowbiz - President Donald Trump has faced further criticism after defending himself against speculations that he's using his presidency to enrich his business. Criticizing Democrats for their inquiries into his administration, he tried to shift the focus by bringing up Barack Obama's business moves.
"House Judiciary has given up on the Mueller Report, sadly for them after two years and $40,000,000 spent - ZERO COLLUSION, ZERO OBSTRUCTION," the president tweeted on Monday, September 16, repeating former special counsel Robert Mueller's finding on the investigation. "So they say, OK, lets look at everything else, and all of the deals that 'Trump' has done over his lifetime. But it doesn't work that way."
He added, "I have a better idea. Look at the Obama Book Deal, or the ridiculous Netflix deal. Then look at all the deals made by the Dems in Congress, the 'Congressional Slush Fund,' and lastly the IG Reports. Take a look at them. Those investigations would be over FAST!"
Trump added in another post, "They failed on the Mueller Report, they failed on Robert Mueller's testimony, they failed on everything else, so now the Democrats are trying to build a case that I enrich myself by being President. Good idea, except I will, and have always expected to, lose BILLIONS of DOLLARS for the privilege of being your President - and doing the best job that has been done in many decades. I am far beyond somebody paying for a hotel room for the evening, or filling up a gas tank at an airport I do not own. These Radical Left Democrats are CRAZY! Obama Netflix?"
People later responded to Trump's rant, making his tweeted phrase "Obama Netflix" a trending topic on the social networking site. Some people suggested that the Obamas produce parody shows with titles that took shots at the current president. Others said that Trump was a hypocrite for criticizing the Obamas for their lucrative Netflix deal while "enriching himself with our tax dollars."
Some people believe that Trump is just jealous about Obama's achievement during and after his presidency. "This clown can't keep OBAMA name out of his mouth he's so jealous of him and everything that he's accomplished even after he left office," one slammed POTUS.
"He worse than the new girlfriend that's always worried bout the old girlfriend," another blasted the president. A baffled fan of Obama asked, "Why he always riding Obama nuts." Another joked, "Trump you you going to get a really big deal real soon New York has promised to give you a really long sentence when you get out of office as president okay."
According to reports, the former president and former first lady Michelle Obama's newly launched film production company scored a "high eight-figure deal" with Netflix last spring. The pair also reportedly secured book deals worth $60 million each.
