The rocker took to Twitter on Friday to assure fans he was OK, but needed to be elsewhere and couldn't perform at the weekend show.
"Apologies to the fans in Salt Lake City," he wrote. "We will come back and do the show at a later date".
"The truth is, I have to fly to LA to do a medical procedure. Nothing serious. But it must be taken care of now. Thank you for your good wishes. All is well".
Earlier this month, the band postponed upcoming shows in Oakland and Los Angeles due to "unforeseen scheduling issues".
Both the California concerts have now been scheduled for March, 2020.
The group's "End of the Road" farewell tour began in January.
