AceShowbiz - Oscar nominee Terrence Howard is done with acting when his hit TV drama "Empire" ends after one final season.

The actor made his retirement announcement during an interview with TV show Extra on Wednesday, September 11, revealing there are other things he wants to do with his life.

"I'm done with acting. I'm done pretending," he said. "I'm just focusing on bringing truth to the world."

The often cryptic star didn't go into details about his post-acting plans, but he confessed he will miss his Empire castmates when the hit show wraps: "I will miss them a great deal, and the crew."

The final season of "Empire" will premiere in America on September 24.
