Spending his third stint in rehab in under a month, the former 'Jackass' star reveals that he is doing well when asked for an update during a trip out for lunch with one of his sponsors.

AceShowbiz - Troubled TV prankster Bam Margera has been visited by his "Jackass" co-stars Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville in rehab.

The former pro-skateboarder is now spending his third stint in rehab in under a month, returning to treatment in Orange County, California after a hospital visit on Wednesday, August 28.

The star claimed he was hospitalised for Edema - swelling in the body caused by blood vessels leaking fluid into the tissue - writing in a since-deleted Instagram post the issue was caused by "either reaction to new medicine or detoxing from i guess a bit of alchohol (sic)".

But Bam, 39, spoke to a reporter from TMZ during a trip out for lunch with one of his rehab sponsors, and revealed he's doing well - thanks to visits from his old pals from the MTV prank show.

Asked if the pair had reached out to help him through his woes, Bam said: "They all have visited me and they've all been really supportive."

He went on to reveal he's up for teaming up with them on a fourth Jackass film, once his recovery and Johnny's busy schedule allows.

Bam is seeking expert help again for ongoing substance and alcohol abuse, following a family intervention staged by TV self-help guru Dr. Phil McGraw.
