AceShowbiz - The 25th anniversary of "Friends" has been commemorated with a special limited Lego set featuring the characters from the beloved series.

Created as part of an initiative to include ideas from fans to help mark the milestone, the special collection includes mini figurines of the cast played by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer. There's also a figure of fan favourite Gunther, who was played by James Michael Tyler.

Designed by Aymeric Fievet of Normandy, France, the 1,079-piece set, will be available on 1 September.

"The challenge was to visualize passages of the series to allow me to recreate the furniture and the characters in as much detail as possible," Fievet said of creating the set. "The assembly of this model took me about a week after finding the necessary references."

And fans really got to have their say as part of the process. "During the voting period, the set was changed several times," Fievet notes.
