Starring as Joseph Glimco opposite Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the upcoming film, Bo Dietl claims that it was not hard to tackle the role since he 'grew up with all the mob guys.'

AceShowbiz - Police detective-turned-private eye Bo Dietl will play a real-life mobster in Martin Scorsese's upcoming movie "The Irishman".

Deitl, who also appeared in the director's "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Goodfellas", has been cast to portray Chicago crime boss Joseph Glimco, opposite Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino.

"I grew up with all the mob guys," Deitl, who ran for the office of New York City mayor in 2017, tells Page Six. "I knew John Gotti, I knew Fat Tony (Anthony Salerno), so it wasn't hard for me to play a mob guy, because I knew them all, but I went in a different direction in life."

The trailer for Scorsese's latest Mafia movie debuted on Wednesday (July 31) and stunned fans with technology that allowed the director to make De Niro look decades younger. The film will open the New York Film Festival in September.
