In a statement confirming the sad news, Disney boss Bob Iger expresses gratitude for 'the tremendous spirit and great joy' the wife of the late actor Wayne Allwine brought to everything she did.

AceShowbiz - Russi Taylor, best known for voicing Minnie Mouse, has died.

The 75-year-old passed away in Glendale, California on Friday, July 26, and her death was confirmed in a statement from Disney boss Bob Iger on Saturday.

"Minnie Mouse lost her voice with the passing of Russi Taylor," he shared. "We're so grateful for Russi's talent as well as the tremendous spirit and great joy she brought to everything she did.

"Russi will be sorely missed and our hearts go out to her family and friends, along with our deepest condolences," Iger concluded.

Taylor even mirrored the life of the iconic polka-dot wearing character, as she was married to the late actor Wayne Allwine, who voiced Mickey Mouse until his death in 2009.

Taylor voiced Minnie for TV shows, animated shorts, big-screen movies, and even lent her vocal talents to Disney theme park experiences across the world.

Taylor also voiced Donald Duck's nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and played characters in "The Simpsons", including Bart Simpson's classmate Martin Prince.
