The 'Bachelor' contender says he 'would definitely take [Demi] out for an initial date' after the 'Heart Attack' singer made public of her crush on the former Hannah Brown suitor.

AceShowbiz - Mike Johnson has finally responded after Demi Lovato flirted with him on Instagram. The Air Force vet said he's open to the possibility of dating the former Disney darling, who has admitted that she has a crush on him.

"I'm flirting with her too. Tell her, 'What's up, baby?' " Mike told Us Weekly after "The Bachelorette: Men Tell All" taping. "I would definitely take her out for an initial date, yeah. 100 percent not scared about it at all. I would be like, 'Oh my God! Girl, come here.' "

Mike echoed his statement during an interview with HollywoodLife.com. "Hell yeah I would go on a date with Demi Lovato!" he said. Gushing about the 26-year-old singer/actress, he added, "She is freaking sexy as can be. I don't know her personality, so I'd have to get to know her, but I would entertain a conversation..."

Demi professed her love for Mike on Instagram Stories after the portfolio manager was eliminated from "The Bachelorette" earlier this month. "Mike I accept your rose," she wrote on her post. "IM RIGHT HERE MIKE I'M RIGHT HERE BOO MY MOM ALREADY LOVES YOU TOO."

In another video taken in front of her TV while Mike was on the screen, the "Cool for the Summer" hitmaker yelled, "Swing me, kiss me, boo boo!"

While Demi's fans have already shipped the pair, Mike may jump on the chance to find his true love on "The Bachelor". People have been campaigning for him to be the star of the next season, with host Chris Harrison confirming that Mike is a contender to be the next Bachelor.

"Of course he's a contender [for 'Bachelor']," Chris told PEOPLE. "How could he not be a contender with that smile? He's one of my favorite people we've ever had on the show." He raved on Mike as saying, "He's a love of a man. I don't know him that well, and I consider him a really good friend. He's just a sweet guy. He gives the best hugs, the best smiles and the best advice. He's just a really good man and yeah, of course he's a contender."

Mike admitted that he's flattered by the #MikeforBachelor campaign. "It makes me feel awesome, I'm not gonna lie about it," he said. "It puts a smile on my face to know that people want me to find the love that I want so dearly. That's how it makes me feel. I'm like super humble in the sense of I, like, shy it down quite often, but being completely transparent, it makes me feel amazing that people would even consider that for me."

He, however, told ET that he has not been approached by the show's producers about the gig. "I haven't spoken to no one about it," so he claimed.
