Joe Biden's Son Hunter Remarried in Secret L.A. Ceremony, Father Confirms

While the presidential hopeful didn't give further details about his son's marriage, Hunter reportedly tied the knot with South African native Melissa Cohen in May after a whirlwind romance.

AceShowbiz - Hunter Biden is once again a married man. The younger son of presidential hopeful Joe Biden secretly got married to Melissa Cohen after what appeared to be a whirlwind romance. His father confirmed the news to CBS News' Adam Brewster while his sister, Valerie Biden, confirmed it to Delaware News Journal.

Both of them didn't give further details about the newlyweds' marriage, but a source said that the two tied the knot in Los Angeles on May 16 after meeting for the first time that month. "They met and fell hard and got hitched," a source told Page Six, as a second source alleged that the pair had also gotten matching tattoos.

"She seems very happy. I've only spoken to Hunter briefly. She's a very special girl. She has a lot of poise and she's very present," Melissa's father told The Post of his daughter, a South African native who is now living in Los Angeles.

Prior to his marriage to Melissa, Hunter was in relationship with Hallie Biden, the widow of his late brother Beau Biden. News of their relationship made headlines at the time. "Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that's been obvious to the people who love us the most," Hunter said of their relationship. "We've been so lucky to have family and friends who have supported us every step of the way."

Joe and his wife Jill Biden were also supportive of the then-couple, writing in their own statement, "We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill's full and complete support and we are happy for them."

Hunter and Hallie split amicably in late April. The reason for the breakup was unknown.
