The 'Riverdale' star takes to Instagram to slam fans who demand a remake of the HBO show's eighth and final season after feeling disappointed by its penultimate episode.

AceShowbiz - Lili Reinhart is weighing on the online petition made by "Game of Thrones" fans who are not satisfied with how things play out in the HBO show's eighth and final season. Posted on Change.org, the viral petition sees them demanding a remake of the season with "competent writers."

"[Showrunners] David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on," the petition reads. "This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!"

Lili, however, is not having it at all. The "Riverdale" actress took to Instagram to share her thought on the petition. The Betty Cooper depicter commented on one of Variety's Instagram posts in which the account wrote, "A petition by an angry fan demanding that HBO remake the final season of Game of Thrones has now been signed by more than 450,000 people," alongside a picture of Maisie Williams' Arya Stark in the final season.

"This is not how television works..." Lili commented. "It's ridiculous of people to think they can demand creative change from artists."

Lili Reinhart blasts the fan petition on Instagram.

The petition was launched on Monday, May 13. The outcry came a day after fans blasted the show's penultimate episode, which aired on Sunday, May 12. Many were left more than a little upset by a fiery dragon rampage, led by Emilia Clarke's "mad queen" character Daenerys Targaryen, and the sudden deaths of a handful of regulars.

Among the comments left by fans signing the petition, one suggested the final season "seems rushed," adding the writing "totally disrespected the ('Game of Thrones') author" George R.R. Martin.

The final episode of the fantasy drama airs on Sunday, May 19 at 9 P.M. on HBO.
