Representatives for Police Scotland confirmed on Monday, May 13, that a 28-year-old has been charged in connection with Welsh's death, and will appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

The suspect was also charged with the attempted murder of a 48-year-old man and the serious assault of a 22-year-old man on 13 March.

A police spokesman said, "Members of the public are thanked for their assistance with both of these investigations."
