After the fourth 'Avengers' movie becomes the second highest-grossing movie ever, the acclaimed director takes to social media to salute Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige for the feat.

AceShowbiz - James Cameron has saluted Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige after "Avengers: Endgame" passed "Titanic" to become the second highest-grossing movie ever.
The latest major instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has smashed box office records, and has now made more than $2.23 billion worldwide, fewer than two weeks after it debuted in cinemas, taking it past Cameron's 1997 blockbuster "Titanic"'s $2.19 billion earnings.
The director marked the achievement on Wednesday night, May 08, by tweeting a picture showing the "Avengers" logo in the sea, in place of an iceberg, sinking the "Titanic" once more.
"An iceberg sank the real Titanic," he wrote. "It took the Avengers to sink my Titanic. Everyone here at (Cameron's production company) Lightstorm Entertainment salutes your amazing achievement. You've shown that the movie industry is not only alive and well. It's bigger than ever!"
The legendary director is still the most profitable filmmaker ever though, as his 2009 3D extravaganza "Avatar" is still the highest-grossing movie in history with $2.78 billion at the worldwide box office.
Having only been in cinemas for two weeks, Marvel's superhero epic is expected to surpass "Avatar"'s mammoth box office gross before it ends its run.
