AceShowbiz - Unlike most British people who are currently celebrating the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Piers Morgan has a thing to complain about the royal baby. The outspoken TV host isn't thrilled to find out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex named their baby boy Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Taking to his Twitter account, the 54-year-old slammed the name for not representing diversity. "So the royal couple, in a striking blow for diversity & feminism, have given their son one of the most popular white middle-class first names, Archie," he wrote.

The host of ITV Breakfast programme "Good Morning Britain" additionally thinks that the second name Harrison is "hilarious" because of what it derives from. "... and a second name, Harrison, that was chosen because it stands for 'Harry's son' (I'm serious..). Hilarious," he added.

When a fellow Twitter user defended the name, tweeting, "I like it. They were never going to be traditional," Piers seemed to have a change of heart about the name Archie. "I like 'Archie', but calling him Harrison 'because he's Harry's son' is just silly," he responded.

Another blasted Piers for criticizing the new parents' choice of their son's name. "It's their choice, however they named their son, people would have something to say!" the said user said. "It's their business, leave them alone and be happy for them.."

Another argued, "If they'd given him a name seen as 'diverse' they'd be 'betraying the heritage of the royal family'. It's their child so should name him as they see fit just like everyone else can."

Nevertheless, Piers praised the British modern royal family for showing diversity with Harry's marriage to Meghan. Reposting a picture of the couple who introduced their son to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Windsor Castle, he wrote along with it, "The new, diverse British Monarchy."

Harry and Meghan welcomed the baby boy, their first child, on Sunday, May 5. The proud parents showed their son to the world for the first time on Wednesday during a special photocall at Windsor Castle.

Also reacting to the baby's birth was Meghan's estranged half-sister Samantha Markle, who unexpectedly had nothing but good words for the couple. Samantha, who previously slammed the Duchess for being insincere, told DailyMailTV, "Well, I love it. Family is family."

She added, "What I think is incredible is that it's a great moment historically and although the adults have a lot of water under the bridge, I would really like to see everyone reach out. We've extended the olive branch and now it is Meghan's turn."
