Accepting the accolade for his record-breaking album 'Scorpion', the Canadian hip-hop superstar says during his acceptance speech, 'Hey, shout out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week.'

AceShowbiz - Drake is apparently a massive fan of "Game of Thrones", and he isn't shy at all to show it off in public. Accepting the Top Billboard 200 Album Award for "Scorpion" at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, the Canadian rapper gave a shout out to Arya Stark.

Before that, he thanked those who helped him work on the record-breaking album. "It was a really lengthy album so it's a lot of people to mention. But thank you to everyone who gave me their time, their energy and stayed away from their family and friends while we were trying to complete this," he said. "I always had a dream of doing a double album and I finally did it, so now I'll never do it again."

"I need a glass of champagne," Drake joked, before concluding, "Hey, shout out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week. Hey!" He was clearly referring to the latest episode of "Game of Thrones", in which Arya (Maisie Williams) became the heroine of the Battle of Winterfell after killing the Night King.

Sophie Turner, who plays Arya's sister Sansa Stark on the hit HBO series, was in the audience during the moment, though it wasn't shown how she reacted to the shout-out.

Aside from winning the Top Billboard 200 Album, Drake was also announced as the winner of Top Male Artist. Other winners who have been revealed during the live ceremony included Imagine Dragons, who bagged home Top Rock Artist, Juice WRLD, who came out as the winner of Top New Artist and BTS (Bangtan Boys), who already nabbed two awards. The South Korean boyband won Top Social Award and Top Duo/Group.

Taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the 2019 Billboard Music Awards is currently airing on NBC. Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie opened the annual event with a debut performance of their collaboration "ME!"
