A month after the 'Victory Lap' rapper was gunned down in Los Angeles, it is unraveled that Samantha Smith has submitted a motion that allows her to have a legal say in custody decisions of Emani.

AceShowbiz - Nipsey Hussle's sister has filed court papers seeking to be appointed the legal guardian of the late rapper's daughter.

The "Victory Lap" star, real name Ermias Asghedom, was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 31, leaving his young girl Emani and his baby son Kross without a father.

Now Nipsey's sister, Samantha Smith, has taken steps to make sure Emani maintains her close relationship with her dad's side of the family, and has lodged a petition for guardianship in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

In documents obtained by The Blast, Smith explains she has "always been a presence in Emani's life and along with the rest of Emani's paternal family has assisted in her care".

She wants court officials to grant her motion so she can have a legal say in custody decisions and "to ensure that she can continue to live with family members with whom she has always had close ties".

Emani's mother, Tanisha, has yet to comment on the legal action.

Just weeks before Nipsey's passing, he treated his little girl to a trip to the Grammy Awards, where she posed on the red carpet alongside her father, who also attended with his girlfriend, model/actress Lauren London, the mother of his two-year-old boy Kross.
