AceShowbiz - Madonna's first new music release in four years will be provocatively titled "Madame X".
The pop superstar has confirmed she will be dropping an EP - her first new material since 2015's "Rebel Heart" - in a video posted to Instagram.
"I decided to call my record 'Madame X'...," she tells friends in a dinner party setting as one new track plays over the promo, before Madonna can be heard speaking over the phone and adding, " 'Madame X' is a secret agent travelling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom, bringing light to dark places."
"She is a dancer, a professor, a head of state, a housekeeper, an equestrian, a prisoner, a student, a mother, a child, a teacher, a nun, a sinner, a saint, whore, and a spy in the house of love. I'm 'Madame X'."
Madonna posted another two clips and captioned them, "Madame X is a spy in the house of Love..." and, "What song is 'Madame X' playing...."
The "Material Girl" is expected to perform one of her new tracks at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel next month. She has been booked to play two tracks - an old favourite and a new tune.
The unexpected gig, which anti-Israel activists are urging the pop star to boycott and protest the nation's treatment of its Palestinian neighbours, will come as Madonna prepares for her first world tour in three years.
