AceShowbiz - Adam Sandler is returning to the comedy show where he launched his career - as a guest host.
The funnyman will front America's "Saturday Night Live" on 4 May.
He became one of the sketch show's writers in 1990 and was promoted to a regular performer a year later. He left the programme in 1995.
His "SNL" hosting gig will be his first.
"We are happy to welcome Adam back to 'SNL' in what is sure to be a special night," executive producer Lorne Michaels says.
