A stolen car collided with the main entrance gate of the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker's Rhode Island estate in the early hours of April 3 following a high-speed chase with the police.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's Rhode Island home was breached by a stolen car which smashed into her front gate as it was pursued by police officers on Wednesday, April 03.

According to website TMZ, police sources in Hopkinton confirmed the high-speed chase started in the early hours of Wednesday morning after an officer reportedly tried to conduct a traffic stop. The driver sped off in the car, with officers in pursuit. However, the driver - allegedly a teenager - eventually lost control and ploughed into the main entrance gate at the superstar's estate.

The website reported the "Bad Blood" singer was not home at the time of the crash.

Police added the teenager has been charged with reckless driving, felony receiving stolen goods, obstructing an officer and driving on a suspended or denied licence. No bail has been set.

The incident comes after Roger Alvarado struck a plea deal over charges of breaking into the "Shake It Off" star's Manhattan home for the second time.

According to editors at Page Six, on Monday, the 23-year-old pleaded guilty to criminal contempt and agreed to abide by an order of protection. He now faces two to four years in prison.
