The shooter allegedly confronted Nipsey to ask him if he had snitched to cops in the past, before he returned with a gun and shot the rapper multiple times in front of his Marathon Clothing store.

AceShowbiz - Nipsey Hussle shooting was captured on surveillance camera. Footage obtained from a business adjacent to the late rapper's The Marathon Clothing store caught the shooter in action, which could give police a lead in their search for the gunman.

In the footage obtained by TMZ, a man in a dark shirt was seen entering the screen from an alleyway on the left side. He approached Nipsey and his pals, who appeared to have a conversation in front of his store, and then opened fire.

Several men collapsed after the shooter fired the bullets for the first time, while people were seen running away frantically. The shooter walked away, but then came back and shot again. He returned and shot for the third time and was seen kicking the victim, believed to be Nipsey, in the head, before he fled back toward the alley where he came from.

Sources tell the site that before the shooting, the suspect had a tense conversation with Nipsey. He allegedly confronted the "They Roll" hitmaker to ask him if he had snitched to cops in the past. Apparently feeling disrespected, the man in question left to get a gun and returned to get revenge.

Nipsey died on Sunday, March 31 after getting shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the hospital after paramedics performed CPR on the scene and during the ambulance ride. Coroner confirmed he died of gunshot wounds to the head and torso. The two other victims survived.

The shooter, identified as a black male in his 20s, fled the scene in a nearby waiting vehicle driven by a female. Police have said his shooting appears to be gang-related.

Nipsey himself admitted that he was a member of L.A. street gang Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips in his youth. He, however, was living on the right path in the past few years. He planned to meet with LAPD's police chief and commissioner on Monday afternoon to discuss a plan to prevent gang violence. The meeting, which would also involve Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation, will be rescheduled in the late star's honor.

Meanwhile, T.I. has shared his theory of the shooter's possible motive in a video for TMZ. He believes that the murder was fueled by envy and hate because Nipsey, who lived in the same neighborhood as the shooter, managed to advance in life and lead his community by example.

He also posted on Instagram, "Sometimes people try to destroy you, precisely because they recognize your power - not because they don't see it, but because they see it and they don't want it to exist."
