Marilyn Manson's Drummer Announces Departure After Five 'Amazing' Years

Despite describing his stint with the rock band as 'one of the highlights' of his career, Gil Sharone states that it is time for him to 'pursue other current and future projects.'

AceShowbiz - Marilyn Manson has lost his drummer.

Gil Sharone has quit the group after almost six years and two albums.

He announced his decision via Twitter on Wednesday, March 27, writing: "After five amazing years playing drums for @marilynmanson, I've decided to leave the band. It's been one of the highlights of my career but it's time for me to pursue other current and future projects."

"Much love to @marilynmanson and the homies I shared the stage with; @jeordie @tylerbatesofficial @paulwileymm @j_alderete and to the fans. It's been a blast."

Gil has also composed music for "Deadpool 2", "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", and both "John Wick" movies to date, as well as TV shows "The Punisher" and "Kingdom".
