AceShowbiz - Selma Blair has reflected upon her Multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis alongside a throwback picture that she posted on Instagram.
The "Cruel Intentions" actress first revealed her battle with the condition in a candid Instagram post back in October (2018), and last month she made her return to the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, assisted by her monogrammed cane to help maintain her balance.
The 46-year-old actress took to the social networking site again in the early hours of Thursday morning, posting a portrait of herself sat outside at a restaurant table.
"#tbt. A beautiful summer night in Miami," she wrote. "My flare was already hitting. I didn't know what was happening. But I sat outside and had a gorgeous dinner with my dear friend."
The "Legally Blonde" star went on to reaffirm her newfound appreciation for life, stressing her desire to embrace every moment, reflecting that "all we have is right now."
Referencing the photograph, the mother-of-one recalled the moment that it was taken and pointed out that she was "happy," despite the fact that her condition was worsening and she lacked mobility and coordination.
Her experience, she suggests, has made her grateful for the "wonderful life" that she has, and encourages her to look past her disability and try to remain positive.
"My son is asleep next to me. I hear his breathing. That of a tender soul," she wrote. "(Soon) he will wake full of energy. I am going to curl up next to him."
"So... goodnight," she concluded.
