When announcing the release date of his new studio album, the 'I'm Different' hitmaker gives a shoutout to the Los Angeles Lakers star for the latter's role in overseeing his work.

AceShowbiz - 2 Chainz has credited basketball ace LeBron James with helping to scout for talent to feature on the rapper's new album.

The "I'm Different" hitmaker took to social media on Tuesday, February 19, to share the news of his 1 March release, giving the Los Angeles Lakers superstar a shoutout for apparently serving as his artists and repertoire (A&R) agent and overseeing his work on "Rap or Go to the League".

"It's been quite the journey to get here. All night studio sessions, reflecting, & opening up on these records or as I call it therapy!" 2 Chainz captioned behind the scenes footage of his studio chats with LeBron.

In the accompanying clip, the rapper thanks the athlete for taking the time out of his hectic schedule to meet up in a Los Angeles studio.

"I know you're a busy man...," 2 Chainz tells his pal. "(I) think it'll be shocking to people to know how much input you had on (the album)."

"Rap or Go to the League" is the follow-up to his 2017 album, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music".
