The Hannah Lux Davis-directed music video sees the singer coming in between 'Riverdale' star Charles Melton and Ariel Yasmine's relationship.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande's highly-anticipated album "Thank U, Next" has finally arrived. Accompanying the release of the effort, the former Nickelodeon star has unearthed the music video for the new single off the record entitled "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored". Her frequent collaborator, Hannah Lux Davis, directed the cinematic visuals.

The music video features Ariana coming in between "Riverdale" star Charles Melton and actress Ariel Yasmine's relationship. Their first meeting happen in a dimly lit nightclub, where the pop star looks bored while watching people happily move their body on the dance floor. That is when she catches Melton's attention. Ariel, who is styled to look like Ariana with high ponytail, then asks her to join them dancing, to which Ariana agrees. They become friends after that.

The scene then changes to show Ariana arriving at a party held by the couple. While Melton keeps flaunting PDA with Ariel, he can't help but steal glances towards Ariana here and there. It's clear that he has crush on the singer, but how does she feel about him? Even though the beginning part of the clip makes it look like she's actually into the hunky actor, it turns out Ariana actually wants to steal Ariel away from him.

The visuals ends with Ariana and Ariel kissing in a pool when the party is over.

Ever since Ariana revealed the song title at the end of January, fans have been theorizing who the subject could be. Some even speculated that it could be about Big Sean. However, the "7 Rings" singer has insisted that the tune isn't aimed at any guy in particular since "all the boys in my life are gay."

Besides "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored", "Thank U, Next" includes other songs such as "Needy", "NASA", "In My Head" and "Imagine".
