AceShowbiz - Cardi B battled postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter last summer (July 2018).
The rapper tells Harper's Bazaar she tried to "avoid" the mood-affecting condition, which affects several new mums, but she couldn't keep the baby blues at bay.
The 26-year-old says, "When I gave birth, the doctor told me about postpartum, and I was like, 'Well, I'm doing good right now, I don't think that's going to happen'."
But her feelings changed days after she welcomed her first child, Kulture: "Out of nowhere, the world was heavy on my shoulders," she adds.
In addition to coping with postpartum, the "I Like It" hitmaker admits she has struggled with her body image now she's a mum.
"For some reason, I still don't feel like my body's the same," she tells the publication. "I feel like I don't have my balance right yet. When it comes to heels, I'm not as good at walking anymore. I feel like I'm holding a weight on me."
