AceShowbiz - It looks like Ariana Grande won't spend the rest of the year alone, after all. If reports from Radar Online are to be trusted, the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer is said to be getting close to her ex Ricky Alvarez as they have been spending time together lately.
For instance, both of them were recently spotted out and about in New York City, strolling the Big Apple together. Appearing to be having fun, Ariana and Ricky sipped on ice coffee and joked around while filming Instagram Stories video of each other. They even stopped by her apartment block to wave up at Myron, Mac Miller's pooch which she adopted upon his death.
Days after their outing, a source tells Radar Online that the former couple has been "hot and cold" romantically," with the "Thank U, Next" singer allegedly being "comfortable around him" and trusting him. The insider also noted that the two of them "have open communication and their chemistry is just undeniable." But does that mean they will rekindle their romance anytime soon?
It doesn't seem so, unfortunately. "Ariana is not looking for anything serious right now and neither is her," the source explains. "They spent New Year's Eve together and have hooked up recently, but it is nothing more than friends with benefits at this point. She will continue working with him, just as she has been for years. If something happens, something happens."
Ariana and Ricky dated for about a year from 2015 to 2016, thought their relationship was more low-key than when she was linked to fellow celebrities. The former couple remains good friends even after their split.
The hookup report arrived after the Nickelodeon alum revealed her plan to stay single for the rest of the year. Responding to a derogatory article asking who she is currently dating, Ariana said, "spoiler for the rest of this year / probably my life: it's no one.
