New court records uncover that the former Manchester United captain was taken into custody by Washington Airport Authority police in Virginia on December 16.

AceShowbiz - Former England soccer star Wayne Rooney was arrested in America last month, December 2018, for "public swearing and intoxication".
The ex-national team and Manchester United captain was taken into custody on 16 December and ordered to pay a small fine, new court records have revealed, after Washington Airport Authority police officers apprehended him in Virginia. He was released without bail.
The soccer star was also arrested in September, 2017 for driving under the influence in Wilmslow, Cheshire. He pleaded guilty and received a two-year driving ban.
Rooney moved to Washington, D.C. last year (18) to play for Major League Soccer team DC United.
