Gallery director Sam Palmer, who has been dating the Formula One heiress for one year, confirms the happy news through a New Year's Eve post.

AceShowbiz - British socialite Petra Ecclestone is ringing in 2019 with an engagement.
A representative for the 30-year-old Formula One heiress has confirmed she's planning to wed Sam Palmer a year after she started dating the gallery director, and 14 months after her acrimonious divorce from James Stunt, the father of her three children.
"Petra Ecclestone and Sam Palmer are delighted to announce their engagement and look forward to spending 2019 together," a statement to the Daily Mail reads.
Sam confirmed the news in a post on New Year's Eve (December 31, 2018), which read: "A personal thank you to everyone that made opening Maddox Gallery Los Angeles possible. I hope everyone had as an amazing year as us and that 2019 brings lots of love,health and happiness to all."
"My personal highlights have been opening the gallery in LA with the woman I love and her agreeing to marry me... Here is to a fantastic 2019."
He also shared a photo of himself and Petra on Instagram.
