Offering a candid peek at how she celebrates the holiday while pregnant, the comedian shares a video of her vomiting on the side of the road.

AceShowbiz - Christmas did not begin quiet well for Amy Schumer, who is currently pregnant with her first child. The 37-year-old comedian offered a candid peek at how she celebrated Christmas while pregnant through an Instagram post which was shared on Tuesday, December 25.

Schumer revealed in one video that she was on a road trip with her husband Chris Fischer for the holiday, but stopped halfway so that she could vomit on the side of the road. The "I Feel Pretty" actress also noted that she had thrown up some blood before wishing the person behind the camera a merry Christmas.

But Schumer would not let her morning sickness ruined the holiday for her. One picture featured the "Girls Trip" star cuddling with her dog as she watched a movie from her laptop, while another clip showed her hilariously dancing with the pet as a group of male dancers were flickered on her television screen showing off their dance moves to Missy Elliott's "Work It".

"And so this is Christmas," so Schumer wrote in the caption, along with a Christmas tree emoji.

Schumer has been very open about her difficult pregnancy journey, revealing that she is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of pregnancy-related nausea. The sickness landed her in hospital in November and December in addition to forcing her to cancel some of her comedy shows.

"Everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story," the comedian previously said of her illness, which also previously left Kate Middleton hospitalized for four days. "I've been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows. Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls**t! Sending so much love to the doctors and nurses taking great care of me and [my dog] Tati! They are cool as hell!"
