The singer, who recently released his first holiday album, "A Legendary Christmas", admitted he will be too busy to sip eggnog and snack on gingerbread this season, as he's headed out on tour. But the "Glory" singer and wife Chrissy do plan to attend one star-studded bash, at pal Kris' home, where John will also sing for his supper.
"We don't end up going to a lot, just because we don't have time," he explained to editors at the Tampa Bay Times. "This year, I'll be on tour during all the holiday parties.
"The only one I'll go to is on Christmas Eve. Kris Jenner is throwing one and has asked me to perform at it, so I'll be at that one on the 24th," he admitted. "But other than that, I really won't have time, because I'll be on the road."
Kris, who is known for her legendary parties and lavish Christmas decorations which feature dozens of decorated trees, made an appearance on Chrissy and John's NBC variety special "A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy" last month.
The couple, who have two children together, teamed up to host the show, their first time working together since Chrissy first met John on the set of his 2007 music video for song "Stereo".
"Chrissy and I have great chemistry in real life, but we also have really great chemistry on screen together," gushed the "Ordinary People" singer. "Our personalities, because they're different and complement each other and play off of each other well, it actually works really well on television." And John added that he would love to work with the "Lip Sync Battle" host on on "some kind of variety show" in the future.
"It felt natural to do it for this, because Christmas is such a family holiday," he smiled.
