In a statement, the former child star clarifies that he's only 'looking forward' to becoming a dad, but not expecting one right now.

AceShowbiz - No, Aaron Carter and his girlfriend Lina Valentina are not going to enter parenthood anytime soon. Weeks after the Florida heartthrob announced that the couple was expecting their first child together, he issued a statement to E! News to backtrack on his announcement.
"A few weeks ago, I posted something on social media about hoping to have a child a soon and it seems that started some rumors," Aaron shared to the publication, explaining that he only looked forward to "becoming a dad, but am not expecting a child right now."
Last month, Aaron teased that he and his girlfriend of months were preparing for a baby in replies to a fan who sent him gushing message on social media. "I'm in such an amazing place mentally, physically & emotionally. I finally bought my first home," the "I Want Candy" singer said at the time. "And I'm going to be proposing soon to my gf and we might just be expecting..."
Aaron doubled down on his speculation through an Instagram post which found him declaring his love to Lina. "I WILL marry you baby and we WILL have our daughter," he said along with a picture of the lovebirds cuddling up.
Even though Aaron and Lina won't welcome their first child anytime soon, it doesn't mean that the former child star isn't interested in starting a family with his girlfriend of months. In fact, he has always been very vocal on the matter.
"You [Lina] have my heart for the rest of my life our relationship is new but we WILL grow old together and have our family and I will cherish honor respect be the man I've always wanted to be because you've shown me you're the woman I've always dreamed of," the former contestant of "Dancing with the Stars" previously wrote on Instagram.
Aaron and Lina went public with their romance in September of this year. Prior to this, he was romantically linked to Madison Parker.
