AceShowbiz - Alan Bersten and Alexis Ren's whirlwind romance apparently doesn't last long. The former couple, who met and started dating after being paired in season 27 of "Dancing with the Stars", is reportedly on a break due to hectic schedules.
"Alexis is in Japan working and Alan is in LA rehearsing -- he's about to be traveling cross-country for the DWTS tour, so the distance makes it hard to be in a relationship," says a source tells Us Weekly about the stars.
However, it seems like the door of them to rekindle their romance later is always open. "But they still talk and are definitely still friends and on good terms. They won't be in the same place at the same time for a little while because of their schedules, but they're planning on staying in touch and staying in each other's lives," adds the source.
Ren previously got fans wonder if they broke up with her eyebrow-raising Instagram post. Alongside a picture of them performing on the ABC show, she wrote, "so grateful for these memories we shared together @alanbersten (a black heart emoji)."
When asked about her relationship at that time, she explained to a fan, "Feelings aren’t black and white and neither is life. We're focused on our careers and growing as individuals. He's an amazing person and I’m grateful he came into my life. He's on his own journey and I respect that."
Alan also hinting at the breakup during an interviw at tour rehearsals for "Dancing With the Stars: Live! -- A Night to Remember". "You know, we're talking," he said. "She's in Japan right now and I'm about to go on tour, so we'll see."
