When asked about her choice to wear a three-piece suit and top hat, the 'Suicide Squad' actress expresses her amazement over fellow guests' reaction to her masculine look.

AceShowbiz - "Suicide Squad" star Cara Delevingne had royal permission to rock top hat and tails at pal Princess Eugenie's wedding - from the bride herself.

The model-turned-actress wasn't sure about her gender-bending look for the big day last month and so she turned to Eugenie for approval.

"Eugenie has been a friend of mine since I was a kid and I've always wanted to wear tails," Cara tells Grazia magazine. "I texted her as I wasn't sure about it, and she was like, 'Of course, I expect nothing else from you'."

The 26 year old admits she felt very comfortable with her royal wedding outfit, but was a little taken aback by the remarks she received from fellow guests.

"I found it interesting how many people came up to me and said, 'You're so brave to wear that!'" she recalls. "I was like, 'Really? I feel way more comfortable like this'."

She insists she wasn't trying to stand out, be brave or rebellious - she just wanted to be herself. And she hopes the top hat and tails didn't upset the bidre's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, because she has a lot of respect and admiration for her.

Confessing she'd like to meet the Queen one day, Cara adds, "'I love her so much. There are many things I need to ask her, but I wouldn't be allowed."

The Brit also opened up about her latest modelling campaign for watchmakers TAG Heuer, in which she was photographed in front of a roaring lion, insisting it sent a powerful message: "It's about standing up and showing how brave and how strong you are, especially as a woman," Cara says.
