Rumor has it, the former member of Take That hopes to follow the footstep of Elton John by creating a 2019 show around his 2001 album, 'Swing When You're Winning'.

AceShowbiz - Robbie Williams is allegedly desperate to land a residency in Las Vegas.

The former Take That star, who is currently on tour in South America, is reportedly planning on following in the footsteps of Britney Spears and Elton John, and wants to base a show around his 2001 swing cover album, "Swing When You're Winning".

According to The Mirror, the 44-year-old is in talks with entertainment bosses and is "exploring a couple of options", with negotiations aiming to have some dates confirmed "as early as spring 2019".

Despite having a hit career in the U.K. and the rest of the world, Robbie has failed to set the U.S. charts alight.

When interviewed last year (17), "The X Factor" judge said he was upset he had never had his big break in America.

"Nobody knows who I am. I get to stare at them and they get to stare at me – but they don't stare because they don't know who I am. I don't like this, I want this to change," he moaned.

His wife, and fellow "X Factor" judge, Ayda Field, also recently ribbed him for not making it in her home country.

"I think it's funny how Robbie chose 'Party in the USA' when none of his songs have been played in the USA," she mocked on one of the live shows of the British singing contest.
