AceShowbiz - The reason why Ariana Grande called Pete Davidson out for joking about their split in a "Saturday Night Live" promo clip has been revealed. It turns out the comedian is violating the agreement that they made after the breakup, and the songstress is obviously not happy about it.
"She wasn't amused by Pete's jokes at all," a source shares to E! News. "They made an agreement that they would not address their relationship or discuss it after they split up. He violated that agreement and it really hurt her. She knew he would see her tweet." The source also says that the Nickelodeon alum "hopes that he will have enough respect to not do it again."
After the viral clip made its way out online, Ariana took to Twitter to seemingly take a jab at her ex-fiance. "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh," she said, before adding in another tweet, "Thank u, next."
But will Pete stop cracking jokes about their split after the "God Is a Woman" songstress blasted him like that? It doesn't seem so as a second source tells HollywoodLife.com that he won't hesitate at all to bring it up on "Saturday Night Live", alleging that he has told his co-stars to "pitch anything for a sketch or to talk about it on Weekend Update anyway they'd like."
"He wants to make jokes about it and if Ariana can't take a joke then so be it," the insider continues. "He is taking things as if it isn't his problem. He has to live his life and he gets through pain with comedy and he is going to be an open book and allow people to rib on him throughout the show if they choose to."
