AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson finally resurfaced in public for first time since calling off his engagement to Ariana Grande last week. On Wednesday, October 17, the 24-year-old comedian was photographed arriving at his mother's house in New York City alone.
He tried to kept things low key in a red-and-black Ecko tracksuit with a hood over his head. The "Saturday Night Live" star still had his "AG" tattoo on his fingers and did not cover that. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend appeared to cover her tattoo with a Band-Aid when making first public appearance at a taping for NBC's "A Very Wicked Halloween" special, as seen in pictures obtained by TMZ.
A source close to Pete told E! News that he's "staying with family in New York right now" and not living in their shared apartment. Explaining how he's coping with their breakup, the source added, "Pete's doing fine. He has a strong support system of family and friends around him that are keeping him laughing. While Pete's focusing on himself, he always wishes the best for Ari."
Talking about Ariana's appearance at the concert special, the insider noted Pete was "happy" that Ariana performed in the "Wicked" special. "That was always a dream of hers," the insider noted.
Pete and Ariana split over the weekend. The "Bang Bang" hitmaker recently broke her silence on their breakup through an Instagram Story post. "ok today was v special and i'm so grateful to be there," she said, addressing her appearance on the NBC special alongside Idina Menzel. "time to say bye bye again to the internet just for a lil bit. It's hard not to bump news n stuff that i'm not tryna see rn. It's very hard and we're all tryin very hard to keep goin. Love u. and thank you for bein here always."
