After Netflix announced the Marvel superhero series won't get renewed for a third season, the leading man of the show takes to Instagram to share his thought on the ending.

AceShowbiz - Finn Jones has "an enormous amount of love" after his show "Marvel's Iron Fist" was cancelled.

On Friday, October 12, Netflix announced it was pulling the plug on the Marvel martial arts superhero series after just two seasons.

And Jones, who plays the show's titular character, reflected on the news in an emotional post on Instagram.

"With every end is a new beginning," he captioned a photo of himself wearing Iron Fist's green and yellow costume. "I have an enormous amount of love and respect for everyone involved with the last two seasons of this show.

"Defending the greatest city in the world amongst the most talented and warmest people has been a privilege and a joy. Blessed to have taken this journey and grateful for the ongoing support." Although the show is cancelled, his character could be returning on other Marvel shows, including "Luke Cage", "Daredevil", "The Punisher" or "Marvel's Jessica Jones", as hinted at in the statement from Netflix on Friday,

"Marvel's Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners," it read.

"We're thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we've shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on."

Jones, 30, also played Iron Fist in the hit ensemble Marvel superhero series, "Marvel's The Defenders".

The British actor shot to fame playing Ser Loras Tyrell on the hit HBO show "Game of Thrones".
