AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood has been lending her voice for Sunday Night Football's opening theme since 2013, and this year is no exception. Ahead of the release of the song, the country singer has given fans a sneak peek of the song, which is co-written by Chris Destefano and Brett James.

"Everybody is ready for the party," Carrie can be seen singing the song in a behind-the-scenes clip of the song recording. "Game on!/ It's Sunday night, game on!" The clip also sees the "American Idol" alum shooting what appears to be a music video in a sparkly number. She is seen kicking the air.

"It is an honor to be back for my sixth year of Sunday Night Football," she says in the clip. "We just felt like it was maybe time to switch it up. I got together with a couple of incredible song writers, Chris Destefano and Brett James. We wrote it specifically for Sunday Night Football and it's such a great hype song."

Tripp Dixon, the director of the music video, adds, "Any time you work with a big star like Carrie and combine it with NFL's best, you know it's going to be big, and you know it's going to be fun."

"Game On" will be premiered on Sunday, September 9 at 7 P.M. on NBC, when the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

Aside from the upcoming theme song, Carrie is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming sixth studio album, "Cry Pretty". The album is expected to hit the shelves on September 14, marking her first album with her new record label Capitol Records Nashville. In support of the album, she will embark on "Cry Pretty Tour 360" which is scheduled to begin on May 1, 2019 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
