The so-called insider told OK! magazine, "They've been seeing each other quietly for a few weeks and although it's still very new, it seems like they've known each other for a lifetime." The source said that Crowe had harbored a secret crush on the Canadian pop diva before they even met.
"They each feel like they've found someone who understands them completely," the source additionally gushed about the rumored lovers. "They've been through so much and have become each other's comfort."
The "Gladiator" star reportedly sent Celine "flowers with a kind note to say how sorry he was" after her husband Rene Angelil's death in January 2016. The New Zealand-born actor additionally has opened up about his divorce from his wife Danielle Spencer.
The two have reportedly bonded over parenthood and music, which has been "healing for them both."
A representative for Celine, however, has denied the dating reports, telling HollywoodLife.com that the singer and Russell are not dating.
Prior to being rumored dating Russell, Celine was reportedly in a relationship with her backup dancer Pepe Munoz. The rumors first sparked last summer, but her reps insisted that they're just friends. In April 2017, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer said she wasn't ready to date yet.
Celine, who has been going on "Live 2018" world tour since June 26, has three sons with her late husband. Her first son Rene-Charles Angelil was born on January 25, 2001, and her twins Eddy and Nelson Angelil were born on October 23, 2010.
Russell, meanwhile, shares two children with his ex-wife, sons Charles, 14, and Tennyson, 12.
