'There were so many superheroes she turned into, kind of like a superwoman,' the songstress says of her look during the era.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has rated her iconic look in video 'Toxic' as her favourite from her career.

As well as producing a selection of beloved tunes, Britney has assumed a number of racy personas in her music videos from the Catholic schoolgirl in... "Baby One More Time", to the air hostess turned leather-clad siren in "Toxic", and the statement red catsuit in "Oops!... I Did It Again", Britney has never been afraid to play with fashion and beauty.

"I like it when I change it up and there's no specific character, you know? When there's a bunch of different characters involved," she explained in an interview with British Vogue. "I think one character is kind of boring and that's what most people do for videos and stuff like that. So I think 'Toxic' is one of my favourite looks because it was like a superhero and imagination type thing. There were so many superheroes she turned into, kind of like a superwoman."

As well as her impressive musical legacy, the pop star has also had a lasting influence on the beauty industry thanks to the scores of fragrances she's released since 2004, including Curious and Fantasy. Britney has recently unveiled her latest perfume named Prerogative, a neutral gender-free scent which she describes as "something different" and "empowering."

The 36-year-old also shared details behind her make-up regime, revealing that "Less is more" is her day-to-day mantra, and detailed her unexpected skincare saviour.

"I'm all about a good astringent toner before I put my moisturiser on. I can't just put moisturiser on - I have breakouts because I work out," she said. "I don't actually get zits or acne, I just get these red marks where it's, like, about to break out and it shows up like a rash on the side of my face. So I like for it to feel like zingy clean with astringent."
