AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan's stepmother Kate Major is back behind bars after allegedly attacking her husband Michael at their Florida home on Thursday night, July 26.
The mother-of-two reportedly flew into a rage after arguing with Michael Lohan over old cell phone recordings he is said to have made of her while she was intoxicated.
Sources tell TheBlast.com, Major wanted her husband to delete footage from his cell phone, but then decided to dunk his mobile in water in a bid to destroy the device.
Michael left the Boca Raton house to try and diffuse the situation, but she followed him and is then accused of grabbing a candle with a glass base and hurling it at him. It missed, but shattered against a palm tree, with the broken glass causing "a superficial cut" on Michael's left arm.
He called authorities, who questioned the pair upon arrival, and arrested Major for simple battery.
According to the police report obtained by TMZ, Major denied having any knowledge about the broken glass, and suggested Michael had purposefully hurt himself to land her in trouble.
She is currently being held without bond.
Major, who has a long history of substance abuse, is no stranger to the law.
She was previously jailed for a drink driving offence, and in 2016, she was sentenced to six months behind bars for assaulting a police officer, a violation of her probation conditions.
The former tabloid reporter was also taken into custody last summer (17) on suspicion of making threats against her husband, during which she allegedly launched into a racist and homophobic tirade at arresting officers.
The troubled couple, which shares young sons Landon and Logan, wed in 2014, but Major filed for legal separation in 2015. They apparently reconciled and began living together again months later.
