The upcoming superhero movie releases two brand new photos revealing a close-up look of the symbiote and Dr. Carlton Drake.

AceShowbiz - Fans couldn't be happier when they got to see two new photos from highly-anticipated movie "Venom (2018)", which were shared by Sony Pictures. One photo featured Spider-Man's deadliest foe Venom in almost full close-up, while the other one saw Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock.
In the close up photo, fans got a clear view at how Brock's (Hardy) alter ego showed off his gruesome teeth and his terrifying grin as he apparently cornered his powerless victim.

Hardy's character Brock could be seen in the other photo, being strapped to a chair while Riz Ahmed's character Dr. Carlton Drake stood in front of him.

"#Venom literally couldn't look any more spot on than this. This is awesome," a fan expressed his excitement on Twitter. "Such a huge improvement over how he looked in Spider Man 3. Getting a little more hyped for sure #Venom," another one added. "Literally looks just like Todd McFarlane's Venom," one user said, referring to the character's creator.
Hardy himself admitted that the anti-hero character looked cool. "As far as Marvel characters, I have to say for me, Venom looks the coolest," he told Entertaiment Weekly. "That sounds a bit shallow! But I appreciate that he has a kind of brazen swagger and a zero foxtrot attitude."
Hardy's son is a massive fan of the Venom character and the comics, so he was able to help his dad learn about the Marvel Comics history. Besides that, Hardy agreed to play the character because he saw a "tragic clown" element in Eddie Brock. He implied that Brock would soon come to enjoy his transformation and power after refusing it in the beginning.
"There's a tragic clown element, which I find funny and is harmonious with some of the work that I like to do," Hardy explained. "There's something funny about the circumstances of having a gift but it's a tragic gift. It's a superpower you don't really want, but at the same time, you love it. It makes you feel special. He's a reluctant hero and an anti-hero."
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, "Venom" follows journalist Eddie Brock who becomes a host of amorphous extraterrestrial called symbiote and later transforms into Venom. The film, which also stars Michelle Williams, Woody Harrelson and Jenny Slate, will hit U.S. theaters on October 5.
