AceShowbiz - The first teaser of "Disenchantment" has made its way out online for viewing pleasure. The upcoming Netflix animated series is promised to give something new from Matt Groening, who is known for his series "Futurama" and "The Simpsons".

"You've seen the future in 'Futurama'. You've seen the present in Springfield. So, what's obvious third move? A past of course. Welcome to the Dreamland!" someone says in voiceover while the scene of the Dreamland, the crumbling medieval kingdom, is glimpsed.

The scene then transitions to the one featuring someone in a hood being dragged to the front of the King and the Queen for a session of Dreamland Royal Court. "Let's have a look at this no-good pile of scum!" the King says while approaching the person.

The King is surprised as he learns that it's his daughter Bean. "Hi, dad!" Bean greets her father with a rather apologetic expression.

"Disenchantment" follows Bean, a hard-drinking princess, and her two side-kicks, herplucky elf friend Elfo and her personal demon Luci. The 10-episode series takes place in Dreamland and follows the exploits of Bean, Elfo and Luci as they match wits with "ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools."

Of "Disenchantment", Groening said last year, "Ultimately, 'Disenchantment' will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you."

Abbi Jacobson voices Bean, while Nat Faxon and Eric Andre lend their voices to Elfo and Luci respectively. The show also features a slew of voice talents including John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding and Lucy Montgomery.

"Disenchantment" premieres on August 17 on Netflix.
