Along with his band, the young actor joins forces with the three-piece rock band to perform 'Misery Business'.

AceShowbiz - Paramore delighted "Stranger Things" fans on Tuesday, June 26 when they brought out Gaten Matarazzo for a surprise performance.

The young actor, who shot to fame playing Dustin in the hit Netflix sci-fi series, was welcomed onto the stage with his sister Sabrina as the alt-rock band played to crowds at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The 15-year-old, whose own band Work in Progress is known for its Paramore covers, joined the group in harmonies for 2007 track "Misery Business". And, according to sources at Billboard magazine, his vocals were on point.

While fans at the show were surprised by Gaten's appearance, the collaboration has, in fact, long been planned.

In January, Paramore's lead singer Hayley Williams spotted a video of Work in Progress performing "Misery Business" at Asbury Park, New Jersey, and extended Gaten an open invitation to "crash" the band's stage.

"dear @GatenM123, @itstayloryall (Paramore's lead guitarist Taylor York) & i saw your band's Miz Biz cover and all i can say is: (rock hand emoji). open invite to crash a pmore stage and thrash those luscious locks around (& harmonize, obv) whenever the spirit (of rock) leads you (sic)," she tweeted.

A delighted Gaten was clearly ecstatic to have been noticed by the Ain't It Fun hitmaker and replied back: "Dude!! Yesss!!!! Let's make this happen!" before Hayley agreed to send him their 2018 tour schedule.

The Broadway star seemed happy with the end result, tweeting after the performance: "Thank you so much for letting us jam out with you guys," while fans at the event seemed equally impressed.

"I can't get over Gaten Matarazzo and his sister killing "Misery Business" with Paramore," one wrote, while another gushed: "MOTHERF**KIN (sic) DUSTIN FROM STRANGER THINGS JUST CAME OUT AND SANG MISERY BUSINESS WITH PARAMORE!".
