'Sons of Anarchy' Star David Labrava's Teenage Son Commits Suicide After Quietly Battling Depression

The grieving father takes to Instagram to reveal the sad news and raise awareness of the mental illness which he couldn't see his son was suffering from.

AceShowbiz - "Sons of Anarchy" star David Labrava is mourning the loss of his teenage son Tycho Spelis Chiusano. The actor's son took his own life at 16 years old after a battle with depression which David wasn't aware of.

The grieving father posted on Instagram on Wednesday, May 9, "Never in a million tears would I think I would be posting this. This is my boy Tycho. He took his life a couple of days ago at 16 years old. He suffered from a depression we couldnt see because he was a happy young kid."

Sharing throwback pictures of his son's happy moments, David tried to raise awareness of the mental illness. He added, "Communicate with your loved ones, there might not be any signs. Cherish them I am broken." He also shared a link to a GoFundMe page that was set up for Tycho.

A statement on the GoFundMe page reads, "David On May 5th, 2018 Tycho Spelis Chiusano decided to end his life. He was 16 years old. He quietly suffered from depression for years and didn't know how to ask for help."

It continues, "An amazing and beautiful soul, Tycho was extremely intelligent, athletic, loyal, and a sensitive friend. He was full of life, constantly smiling, and had a knack for making others laugh. Tycho loved his family and friends. This is how we will forever remember him!"

"Tycho's last wish was 'give all of my money to a depression and bipolar organization,' " it explains, "...so, that's exactly where it's going!"

David also took to Twitter to post the link to the GoFundMe page called "FlyHighTYCHO".

David played Happy on FX's series "Sons of Anarchy" and appeared in all seven seasons of the show. He is a motorcycle enthusiast, even before joining the show in 2008.
