The rapper reveals he 'did a backflip off the toilet' after hearing the pop diva sing, 'Free Meek' on the song.

AceShowbiz - Meek Mill was left speechless after Beyonce Knowles joined the call for his release on a song as he continued to fight his jail term for a probation violation. The "Dreams and Nightmares" hitmaker was sentenced to two-to-four years behind bars in Pennsylvania last November after breaking the terms of his probation, relating to a 2008 conviction for drug and gun charges.

Meek's lawyers appealed the unusually-harsh punishment, while hip-hop heavyweights like Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and T.I. openly criticized the ruling. The 31-year-old was touched to have received so much star support during his fight for freedom, and he credits the high-profile critics of his case, including Philadelphia 76ers basketball team owner Michael Rubin and New England Patriots football franchise owner Robert Kraft, with helping him secure his eventual release on bail last month.

"I would be in prison (without their support)," Mill told CBS News on Tuesday, May 08, in his first live TV interview since regaining his freedom. "I'm just lucky to have people of power and much influence to stand behind me and speak up."

In a subsequent chat with media personality Angie Martinez, for her new One of One show on Jay-Z's streaming service Tidal, Meek admitted he was blown away to hear Beyonce back his cause on her recent DJ Khaled collaboration Top Off, which also features her husband Jay-Z and Future.

"It was unbelievable when Beyonce said it on song," he beamed, referring to a line in which she spits, "In the hood, hollerin', 'Free Meek'". "I did a backflip off the toilet...!" he laughed. "I was overwhelmed, I couldn't believe it".

Meek is still fighting to have his probation violation case dismissed and is due back in court in June, as authorities continue to review the original conviction due to a local police corruption scandal. In the meantime, his lawyers are trying once again to have the sentencing judge removed from the case, citing new allegations of poor conduct.

In fresh court documents obtained by The Blast, Meek's attorneys argue Judge Genece Brinkley displayed "troubling" behaviour after reportedly hiring a lawyer "to make public statements on her behalf concerning her intended future judicial action in a pending case, which Judge Brinkley would be forbidden to do herself personally."

She is also accused of having "interjected herself into the routine matter of bail supervision, including on day-to-day notice to the judge of (Meek's) plans and whereabouts."

A ruling on the motion has yet to be made.
