After calling the teenage girl his 'hero,' the Yeezy founder shares on Twitter a selfie of him sporting a new buzz cut which is 'inspired by Emma.'

AceShowbiz - Kanye West continues making headlines following his return to social media. Just days after he caused Twitter frenzy due to his support for Donald Trump, he took to the site to share his admiration for Emma Gonzalez, a gun control activist and Parkland shooting survivor.

Over the weekend, he shared a picture of the teenage girl at a CNN town hall and referred to her as "my hero." Kanye then followed it up with a selfie of himself showing off his new buzz cut. "Inspired by Emma," so the rapper captioned the picture. The tweets sure came as a surprise considering that the president has a different stance on gun control.

It didn't take long for Emma to indirectly respond with a similar tweet of her own. "my hero James Shaw Jr.," she wrote alongside a snap of the man, who recently stopped a gunman inside a Waffle House near Nashville without using a weapon.

Kanye recently received backlash after saying that he still loves Donald. Calling POTUS his "brother," he wrote in a series of tweets, "You don't have to agree with trump (sic) but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."

Some of his friends and family have come to his defense following the backlash, including Kim Kardashian and Chance the Rapper. However, the latter received backlash afterward and immediately issued an apology for defending the Yeezy founder.

"I didn't speak up because I agree with what Kanye had to say or cause I f**k with Trump, I did it because I wanted to help my friend and 'cause I felt like I was being used to attack him...," he wrote. "So let my apology be seen in my future works, and let me make up for my poorly timed comments with immediate action and advocacy for those who need it most."
