AceShowbiz - Actor Dennis Quaid and his estranged wife Kimberly are officially divorced. "The Day After Tomorrow" star announced his break-up from Kimberly in a joint statement in 2016, when she filed court papers to end their 12-year marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

At the time, the former couple had already worked out the split of shared assets, but Dennis didn't formally address the court papers until February 2018. According to TMZ, it has now been made official and Dennis and Kimberly will split custody of their 10-year-old twins, but she will have have physical custody of them 75 percent of the time. The actor also has to pay $13,750-a-month in child support, but the amount will be raised if he makes more than $1.3 million in a year.

Kimberly has also been awarded $2 million (GBP1.4 million) in spousal support and another $1 million for their property settlement. They have also reached an agreement on personal property and vehicles, and Dennis will be able to keep the residuals from his movies prior to 2004, when he wed Kimberly. However, they will split the residuals from the movies he made while they were married.

The off/on pair initially called it quits in 2012, when Kimberly first moved to end their marriage. They reconciled and she withdrew the filing, but the reunion didn't last and the Quaids separated for good in 2016.

Dennis, 64, has since moved on and is now romancing model Santa Auzina.
