Shannan Lynette Wynn claims that the series features characters and plot that she and her pastor friend pitched to the media mogul's network.

AceShowbiz - A writer is suing Oprah Winfrey, accusing the actress and multi media mogul of stealing her idea about a faith-themed TV series. Shannan Lynette Wynn claims she came up with the premise for the new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) drama "Greenleaf" with a pastor friend and met with TV bosses in 2014 to pitch the idea.

In documents obtained by TMZ, Wynn insists the executives seemed very keen on her show idea, titled "Justice & Glory", and she initially received great feedback. However, she heard nothing afterwards. When "Greenleaf" premiered in 2016, Wynn said she realized it featured characters and story lines she and her pastor pal pitched to OWN.

The duo is asking for hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages.
