The rocker has decided to push back the start of Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals' tour to August or September to focus on his recovery after undergoing back surgery.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Phil Anselmo has postponed an upcoming tour to focus on his recovery from back surgery. The star's group, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, was set to hit the road with King Parrot this spring, but Anselmo has now announced the tour will kick off in late summer, so he can take more time to get better after undergoing surgery in January.

"I've decided to delay the Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals/King Parrot tour until August (or) September," the former Pantera star writes. "As many of you know, I had a second back surgery in late January. I'm having an incredible recovery, but just want to be one thousand percent when I get to jam the new Illegals with all my brothers and sisters."

"My apologies for jumping the gun extend to the fans, my fellow Illegals, King Parrot, our crews, and all mechanical parties involved, but we will all see it's the right decision soon. See you cats and chicks in the fall! Much love, as always."

Anselmo has been plagued by back issues since the 1990s and previously revealed his problems stem from performing onstage since a young age.
