AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj is currently gearing up for her new album as she released the first two singles off the effort, which still doesn't have a title. And now, the female emcee has treated fans to a music video for one the singles, "Chun-Li".
The visuals was filmed almost entirely in selfie mode, showing Nicki lounging on a couch while spitting lyrics to the Chun-Li-inspired track. "They need rappers like me/ They need rappers like me/ So they can get on their f***ing keyboards/ And make me the bad guy, Chun-Li," she raps.
Nicki doesn't forget to flaunt her stunning figure in the clip, donning a sexy leather outfit which she teams with fishnets. There also some close-up scenes where the raptress shows off her breasts and booty. Another scene finds the "Anaconda" hitmaker posing in a black two-piece and matching shades.
Besides "Chun-Li" music video, Nicki is expected to release a music video for the other new track, "Barbie Tingz". The Trinidadian-born rapper previously shared a teaser for the said music video, which showed her looking flustered after she found out that many people tried to copy her look.
Fans can definitely look forward to her new album, as she revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe of Beats 1 that her forthcoming album would be "the best one" she's ever created in her life. "I wanted to make sure I was writing something that was meaningful to me and that would inspire and that would captive audience," she shared. "But most importantly, I just wanted to have fun again."
She went on revealing that she took hiatus from social media because she wanted to focus her attention on making the album. "I wasn't only not posting, I took all forms of social media off my phone, and it actually was the most genius decision I ever made," she noted.
